IKDT successfully negotiated the acquisition of our first income generating community asset in 2015/16. Dunollie Estates kindly gifted the slipways to the community and from there we worked with Transport Scotland and CMAL on a huge investment in our harbour infrastructure. Our slipways are now all tidal and a new breakwater was constructed to protect the ferry, making the service more resilient. 

We’ve been representing the community at all the Ferry Review meetings and are working hard to ensure that residents receive the best possible service when it moves over to Calmac in summer 2017.
