Isle of Kerrera Ferry, accommodation and places to eat
The Kerrera Ferry is located 2 miles from Oban town centre on the southern Gallanach route, where there is some, though limited, parking available. Alternatively, buses depart twice daily from the Station Road arriving in time for the 10.30 ferry, returning again to meet you at 4pm. The Kerry Ferry, (Summer Timetable – Easter – September 30th.)
Ferries run from 8.40am to 6pm, with a break for lunch 12.30-2pm. Ferry’s can run approximately every half hour when summoned by turning the board black.
In Winter the ferry operates to a scheduled timetable: 8.40, 10.30, 12.30, 2pm, 4pm, and 5pm. Ferries are subject to cancellation due to weather conditions etc.

For those travelling under their own Sails, the Oban Bay Marina at Kerrera’s North end provides moorings with access to amenities and a ferry service into Oban for its users. Contact 01631 565333
In addition, there are a number of safe natural harbours around the coast of Kerrera.
Camping on the Island can be permitted but please check with the nearest house.

Places to Eat.
Lower Gylen Tea Garden, just 5 minutes walk from Gylen Castle provides a welcome break for those walking around the Island’s circular route. Although the Tea Garden is strictly Vegetarian (Organic where possible) it is by no means limited in its menu. Home baking and warm cooked meals make it an attraction in its own right. See contact details for the Bunkhouse above. The Tea Garden ask for prior warning for groups larger than 10 to ensure adequate supplies.
